Stinking/smoking exhaust

Evening all, cold start (-1c) this morning after a week or so sat still. Engine started normally but noticed an electrical burning smell and that the exhaust was chugging out the odour along with grey smoke.
Any thoughts?

condensation and water in the pipe and silencer from being stood. this should clear when driving. if not it's something more serious. check your coolant level ?

This happens with my skoda fabia tdi from time to time. Give it a run and it clears. When it happened the first time it was like a mobile smoke machine.
