Stop start

Sometimes when I stop and put my foot on the brake the engine stops and other times it doesn’t. Any ideas why this is?

Many things can prevent it from cutting in. See attached

The car looks if everything is good enough for her or him to stop the engine. Might be lower battery charge, airco, lights, trailer, engine temperature, ...
As long as there is no fault showing, nothing is wrong.

That's a very long list of reasons it won't stop/start. On an DSG the unpredictability is so annoying.

Fuel ( sufficient)
