Strange text messages from Volkswagen

Twice in the last week, I've had a text message from Volkswagen (no number or address; it just says Volkswagen) with the message #mm1

Does anyone know what this is?

If it is a scam, I can't see how it could benefit anyone. There's no number to call or way of replying. It simply says #mm1.

I've just had the same thing, weird....

I've also just had the same strange message, the time it was sent is about the same time that I was just booking Cali in for her first service using the home phone.
I have spoken to the guys at West Yorks Van centre and its not something they have sent.
Has anybody else had the message or found out its origins?
