Just sold my Ford Kuga, which I loved, now awaiting my California Beach Bluemotion arriving early next week.
Any info good or bad appreciated.

Vicki :hello

Hi vicki welcome along. I bet your getting excited about your new beach. Where are you based :?:
What plans do you have for the beach :?:

Hi Chesterfield area, hoping to go to Cornwall sometime in October can't wait :D a VW camper has been on our wanted list for many many years :clap

Excellent choice of destination :thumb

change the tyres - they're rubbish lol :)

If you're coming down to Cornwall pop by - two Sunny Yellow BMT Beaches side by side :)

What do I need to change the tyres to?

Ah - you'll need the boys on here who know that stuff. I have never been fussy about my tyres but having recently ditched my eco tree huggers at the front and fitted Continentals - there is a massive difference in the grip and the way it drives - feels much safer.

That of course may be in my mind

Whatever you get you may as well get some mileage out of them as new ones aren't cheap.

Whilst I was at Citygate this morning having the roof looked at, I had a good look at the tyres fitted to the Californias and it was difficult to find two that had the same set :? With Michelin, Dunlop and Goodyear represented; I've also seen Hankook. What caught my eye this morning was the SE with the Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons tyre, M&S plus snowflake. Given our climate they are probably a good compromise for use all year. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin//rshop ... eugart=PKW.

I've got the Dunlop SportMaxx, although looking at the tread pattern I'm not convinced they'll be any good in snow or a slippery field. Perhaps someone can confirm.

I collected my Sunny Yellow Beach last Saturday in NI. Drove the Causeway Coast, visited Bushmills, Giant's Causeway, Ballintoy etc and returned via Larne to Scotland. Still beamining :cool

Hopefully you'll be the same. :D

Only issue I had was a sore back. Not sure if it was being cramped in sleeping bag alongside 5th seat, baggage etc on lower bed or drivers seat after 10 hour drive on Monday.
