Supplementary heater is malfunctioning

Today I had a problem connecting Android auto and my dealer suggested disconnecting the battery for 15 min. After reconnecting, Android auto was working but I noticed that the supplementary heater symbol was flashing on the roof LCD. Consequently, I cannot switch on the heating. The instructions say that the flashing indicates a heating fault. Has anyone had a similar experience.

Try turning off, and if necessary resetting, the control panel as below. After a battery disconnect this is fairly common.

Turning it off and back on usually fixes it (as with most things these days.)
