I hope this doesn't sound irresponsible, but the "Driver Alert" system is annoying me and I want to turn it off.

It is designed to tell the driver if they are tired, but it is often kicking in less than an hour into a day's driving, then keeps warning me every 45 minutes or so, when I am perfectly eager and awake!

As I feel I am perfectly capable of deciding if I am fit to drive, I'd rather just disable it.

Anyone know how this is done please?

It's done in the settings, have a look though, it's there somewhere.

If it's going off a lot, I'd want to check why tho.

You forgot to mention when the stupid van tells you to shut windows when driving too!
Mine is set on a couple of hours so you can change it in settings, maybe switch if off. Think it’s under driver alert haven’t had a proper look yet.

From my experience, on other makes of cars. This feature is sensitive not only on time driving, but also on monitors your driving as a whole. On some models being equipt with this feature I know for a fact it kind of monitors the way in which the vehicle is being driven and changes, it maybe due to speed changes or steering movement, as if you go over the white line on the centre or hard shoulder of roads etc. It is appreciated that long distances driving it usually comes up after about 2 hours.

It's funny that it reminds you every 45 minutes. I am more than capable of falling asleep at the wheel in less than 45 minutes ;)

I think I'd turn it off and just stick to having a break when tired - after all, not much better places for a catnap than the back of a Cali!

I'd be happy just turning of the 'ting' noise it makes. Scares me to death as I immediately think I've got a puncture or the engine's blown.

Can’t figure out where to turn it off at all. I agree. Wife says i hate being told what to do and it’s true!
