Hi

Would appreciate some advice please. I have a side window in the sliding door which vibrates constantly. Despite shutting it properly, it seems to pop open.

When I asked the main dealer to investigate, they said that the metal on the bottom of the window had corroded and I needed to replace it. They quoted around £1,200.

So I guess my options are

1 Go with the main dealer quote

2 Try to source the part myself (does anyone have any recommendations please?) and then pay someone to fit

3 Skurce an aftermarket window. Again looking for recommendations and advice on whether this would devalue the van

Thanks in advance

Presumably you have an opening window in the side door, this was an option so a 4th option could be to replace with a fixed window. But im guessing that the trim around the sliding door is specific to a sliding window so might either look strange or have gaps. You would likely also have this trim issue with an aftermarket window as they are intended to fit in a door that doesn't have the California interior trim.
So on balance I would go with 1) or 2). Depending on the main dealer involved or if you know a trusted company that has fitted an oem window.
