Hi All,
I have a California Travel Edition 2013 with 215/65r16C 103T on my logbook, I have been using Vredestein Comtrac 2 215/65R16C 109T for almost 60k miles ...2 sets and they are great for traction in wet and dry , decent in mud and grass but not exceptional, good for snow and ok with noise level 71 db and they last a good 30kw with still 3mm thread depth on them.
I was thinking of changing them but I have 2 doubts:
I did a bit of weight calculations including the trailer and I came up with around 815 per axle excluding the 10% tolerance manufacturers put on the logbook so I would need a 103 or even 104 to be always on the safe side.
Opinions? Suggesions?
thanks
ps: I am often in Germany without speed limit and the Vrederstein keep up to 180km/h after that never tried..vibrations above 150km/h are a bit on the noisy side

- stick with the C version( I often travel fully loaded for 1k to 2k miles average and sometimes with a trailer) in which case I would have these options:
- Vredestein Comtrac 2 All Season
- the new Continental Vancontact 4 Season, the 215/65 R16C 109/107T have B rolling and A Wet but 73db noise, I was only able to find a review on Promobil and they are rated only 7 because of their soft mixture and lamellae which causes long braking distances on dry roads at 100km/h they need 46mt to stop with the summer tire average being 40mt and the winter above 50mt
- go for Pirelli 215/65 R16C 109T/107T Carrier All Season they have C on rolling and A on Wet ( not bad) still a load Commercial rated tyre
- go for a SUV tire (XL,RF, EL) :
- Continental AllSeasonContact 215/65 R16 102V XL they are rated B,B, 72db award winner
- Michelin CrossClimate + 215/65 R16 102V XL they are rated B,B, 69db a bit weak on the snow.
