T5 Cali - Electric window problem, help pls?

Hi all

The electric windows on my 2005 T5 California have stopped working. I had an after-market radio fitted a few years back which seems to be draining the battery, and I had to get a new battery recently when the previous one completely died (due to lockdown I didn't use it for 3 weeks).

Since then the driver and passenger windows no longer go up or down. I've checked the fuse which is fine (anyway, the control for the wing mirrors which shares the same fuse still works).

I'm assuming it could just be a dodgy wire, but threads I've read suggest this might be a coding problem, can anyone else shed any light on this? Or suggest anything else that might be causing it?

Reluctant to take it to my local VW as last time they charged me a £185 diagnosis fee to even look at an electrical problem. Any input appreciated!

Find someone near you with VCDS ( third party VAG diagnostics software) to do a scan for errors.
Where abouts are you ?? I have VCDS if near Milton Keynes.
