hi can anyone tell me if the air suspension from Rosmia or vb is any good or not .does it use its own suspension parts or does any of the Cali parts be modified .we have a t6 204 4 motion dsg and would quite like this idea .i know it's not a cheap thing but neither is anything that is good .can you remove it and put back in original suspensions if you want to trade up in a few years .where is the compressor mounted etc .this is an option I would of gone for on the options list if it was available .also can you stiffen it up for cornering as I was not able to get the anti roof bars as I was over my weight as I was told on my options . Thought this was a bit strange .we are just after ordering a new one for the new year with more options on it .lf any one could let me know about the air suspension this would be great and who and where can I get it done .cheers

We have it on our T5 4 motion and are very happy with it.
It does use it's own parts and none of the Cali is modified once the standard parts have been removed. We kept the standard stuff and I don't think it's a big job to reinstate it if you needed to as its all bolt on/off kit. No different really to fitting new springs/shock absorbers, obviously the compressor, pipes and electrics have to come off as well.
The compressor is mounted underneath on the left hand side under the protection shield.
Putting it into Sport mode lowers the van and does noticiably stiffen it up with less roll. Strange that you can't get the heavy duty ARBs though as our van was ex demo and came with them fitted from new.
Getting it fitted depends on where you are. Rosmia who advertise on here and based on the south coast. We had ours fitted by Specialist Automotive Products near Doncaster. Excellent service and he has fitted literally hundreds of systems to VWs including Californias.
