Waze has been supported since IOS12 last September. Google maps is also supported. Works well.

Waze is my fav satnav, the traffic info is crowd sourced from other users so I've learnt never to ignore a diversion off a main route as its probably for good reason. We use it on carplay with Vs car, brilliant.

Fyi Apple maps are also using crowd sourcing, probably far outnumbering active waze users.
Since google owns waze they are probably utilizing it as well.
Re maps waze are often missing obvious roads since they only have access to their own mapping data. But it is good to have a choice, I often use apple maps, google maps and waze at the same time

Carplay 2 is really good. I'm running beta IOS13 so it's nice to see it in action
