I just installed a second had T6 Quasimodo bike rack to the van and I have a few concerns, so hopefully you helpful people can put my mind at rest:
1. When installed, and torqued up, the rack has a couple of mm play in the horizontal and vertical axis. This only happens when I manhandle the rack, but I would imagine it would move like this when on rough-ish road surfaces. The photo I’ve taken shows the gap if I pull the rack away from the van.
2. The claws that secure the rack near the rear light clusters don’t fill me with any confidence. They don’t wrap around the door very well and I’m not sure if they have been bent back by the previous owner or a potential thief. Take a look at the photo and please let me know if this is normal, as the LHS hardly wraps around at all...
3. Any idea if anyone sells the claws as separate items or if VW will play ball and help me out
