T7 Towing a caravan

I have a 4 year old T6.1 204 4motion which I tow my caravan with and I thought the idea of having a hybrid (thinking green) with even more power and 4motion might be worth considering when I decide to upgrade but I found out yesterday from California Chris that the maximum towing capacity of this new vehicle is only 1600kg. We have a 10 year old smallish, by today’s standards, caravan but it has a MTPLM 1875kg therefore it would not be possible for me to tow my caravan with it nor any family sized caravan. I presume other vehicles in the range will have greater pulling potential although I am not sure it they would perform as well as the T6.1 204::4motion. I would interested to hear others thoughts

Definitely stick with the 6.1, unless you really want a new van, in which case you are probably looking at other conversions than a California. Petrol is 2000kg.
