Table strap without fixing point?

I was going to order a table strap but the underside of my (2007) Cali's table doesn't have anything to attach it to. I'm assuming my Cali was built before VW had the bright idea about the strap, so does anyone know if there's a workaround or am I out of luck?

You spot the two parts you need nr 76 and 77 ( 78 just seem rivets) , guess you can oderder them but some DIY could work.

One of these, about 130cms would do just as well. Loop around table leg hinge and around head rest and adjust length to give a horizontal table.
