Tailgate stuck

Finally took the car to a Seat Service Shop (another company in the VW-Audi corporation).

They looked into the issue and fixed it in under 90minutes. No material broken, board scratched or any hassle. They only had to use some hand ability to pull the missplaced pin. Once the trunk was open they removed the chairs and worked freely for a full, clean repair.

Total cost? 85€.
Time-to-fix: 90min (I dropped the car a 9:30 and pivked it up before lunch).

I was really hesitant and expected a huge bill and several days of delay. Imagine my surprise.

Of course, this boils down to a certain individual's abilities to move the hand between the small opening between the board and the chairs, but at least it proves that this can ve fixed without cutting any board on the T5 Ocean with chairs on the tailgate.

Best of luck!!!

Only just seen your post as have been away to France in the California . Glad you fixed it I drilled a small hole through the hardboard panel but it is hidden behind the chair cover. A mechanic fixed the broken lock... cost less than £50 including labour part was about £5.
