I've been posting about this for years. You don't need anything fancy. Find you local metal stockist and get some small alloy channel and cut it to length. Cheap and cheerful.
Bought them for the same reason and binned them, they were crapI am going crazy searching for an item I found to buy later online and now can’t locate. It was a catch that fits on the struts to hold open the tailgate that was released with a catch to lower. They were available in a variety of colours if that helps jog someone’s memory. If anyone has seen this, would be grateful to be pointed in the right direction! Thanks
I bought the one from https://www.gruenthal-mobilcamping.de/ but it was not installed on this photo, that is just summer temps! They are useful in the winter which is when they are needed most. Can you please let me know which ones you exactly have, and how did you mount them? Thanks! Especially during wintertime, it's super annoying and the car is like 6 months old.
