Finally made the leap of faith and have a new Cali on order, or at least I hope so as I paid the deposit and have heard nothing back.

Any advice fo critical items (I will look at existing threads) or great places to explore would be welcome.

Welcome, re critical items I presume you mean what will you need extra.

Electric Hook up cable I have 15 & 20 mtrs.
Pots pans crockery and cutlery.
Bedding.
Food and drink, then work out what else you want or need when you start to use your Cali. I always believed less is more in a camper van.
