The Hymer Club

A natural progression....Pop Top, Westfalia High Top...then Hymer A Class for us...now would struggle to go back to the smaller vans. As daft as it sounds the A Class feels easier to drive as the windscreen is so big and the view out so good it makes a relaxing drive. Obviously the amount of storage is next level.

Rear ladder, storage box for wetsuit gear and roof rails is on list of bits to add, going into NY.
Post some pics of the van when you collect :thumb
Which roof rails are you going to go for? Pick up some OEM rails and self install or go for something like the Dutch Van Parts option?

There was a company who have some really nice black slim rails, which I could fit into the roof channels. Then add aero bars.
It’s for surfboard carriage.

I’m going to investigate whether I can get some bars fabricated for the side.
A bit like @Ch1pbutty has done.

Likewise selling my beloved Cali (see classifieds), and moving up to a Hymer Grand Canyon S Crossover (4x4), something that I contemplated for years and finally decided to bite the bullet and put a deposit down with Andy at Southdowns Motorhomes back in February.

Hopefully i'm in the final 4 week countdown to the van arriving, after which it's swiftly being taken down to the Project Yonder team in Hastings to get some Dutch Van Parts bits fitted; side steps, rear ladder, storage box.

Cannot wait for the van to arrive, feels a bit like a dream, so many plans and adventures to be had!
You may wish to consider the Dutch van parts inter cab shelf, provides great storage.

I had an itch I needed to rub.
So going Full Fat until I retire. P400
6 cylinder 400 HP returning 32mpg on petrol.
The same mpg as I was getting from 4M California.
No sleeping out for a few years ;)
Will have to stick to hotels, cottaging ;) and Air BnB :/

Blue and tan. First time in this combo for me.

Etrusco build cracking vans at a good price, caught our eye at the NEC and at a local dealer. I can’t configure one on website tho.
They seem to come as they do, auto is an option, the rest is dealer fitted or specified, things like trackers, 5g WiFi, TV & Aerials, habitation Aircon, solar, and head units. SMC Newark is where we went

Very nice, interestingly my old one has just gone up for sale on Autotrader with the same wheels which are my very favorite! I take it that's the Autobiography model love the colour?

Thanks, adaptive cruise, heated steering wheel & seats front and back, fancy pixel headlights as it’s a 22 plate, they removed them and made them a paid option in 23.
Wheels were an option with the sliding pan roof.
It’s an SE, but has everything I need on it tbh.
A group that sells high end supercars had it as a Part-ex and let me have it for £17k below trade price. How could I resist.

You just need a James baroud.

I’m selling my BoxDrive 600XL 4x4 (in the classifieds). Love it but as a family of 5 now, it doesn’t work!
Really awesome van.
You’ve looked after it well.
The Burstner 747, looks like, well, a jumbo 747. Live it !
That’s the kind of room you need for 3 grandsons to be honest ;)
