Any Diagnostic Codes on Control Panel?

For those of you who don't know, if you ever get any problems with roof stuck or any other error say with the heater or fridge, you are able to access the hidden menu in your control panel as used by the VW Engineers.

Access as follows:

1. Hold down the centre of the rotary button together with the menu button (button below with the squares on it)

2. You will get the hidden menu.

3. Rotate the rotary button to get to "VW diagnose" and select this by pressing on the centre of the rotary button.

4. If no errors are present it will display "no errors"

5. If Errors are present then a list of errors will appear

6. Press the centre of the rotary button again to delete all the errors

7. Repeat process above just to check that errors have dissapeared!

8. Re-configure the time and date if neccesary.

Any problems should be resolved assuming these are Electronic and not Mechanical.

Error Codes from Control Panel.

This morning I did further testing - I plugged the mains charger directly into an mains plug, and then tested the output from it by the kitchen sink 230v output place..AND I'm only getting 175v... Sooo... My volts are disappearing between the charger and the output plug.

And thinking about last night.. the voltage on the pins coming from the charger should be much higher than 12.8v!

So that leaves me with the relay (arriving Friday/sat) or a new mains charger?

Morning!
Yeah no diagnostic codes unfortunately...

It's just occurred to me that if there's a pin layout/voltage output diagram for the charger output plug I can measure each pin exactly..

I've tried testing the two fat pins (red and black) which I'm assuming pass through the 230v to the kitchen socket and there's nothing coming out of them...

These are the parts diagrams for a 2008 California.

This is the Mains circuit diagram

Thanks for this, so I have the A version which I appreciate was superceded by the B version. A few websites are saying that the B version has been replaced by a version number that is different and has a C in it. I'm assuming I have to stick with the B version if I can find it.

I have found a place that refurbishes these in Germany. I'll have to see what the cost is like when they come back to me.

So the repair people came back to me:
"We can check and possibly repair this Volkswagen Philips inverter for you.
The research costs are € 30
The costs for the repair are between € 150 and € 200
The research costs will be extinguished if you agree to the repair
Repair time is approximately 4 to 5 business days"

Sooooo... Max cost is 200 euros plus shipping.. I suppose that's reasonable?
