Thule omnistor LED light strip

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has experience of the Thule OEM led light strip which fits into the recess on the awning. It looks pretty good, but for around £80 the spec is somewhat lacking. For example, how is it controlled? Is it dimmable?

No experience, I'm afraid, but that was because I could only find them for other awning models, not the 5102. Do you have a link?

I built one with bits from ebay. The rf control can dim the leds and switch on of by remote. Choose 12v led strip, waterproof and sticky backed in colour of your choice and wire to 12v cig socket in boot. Search for rf led controller

I took a feed from the cig socket and fitted a switch and fuse in the boot to prevent battery drain when sat on the drive. Belt and braces

That’s the Khyam vanlite kit which was a very good kit I fitted one to my previous Cali but it would appear you can no longer get them.
Shame as for about £55 it was a fair price and easy to fit.
