Some guidance for a newbie please

How do you spot one coming the other way? I wave to loads of VW Vans only to discover the majority are trades vans. Some wave, some don't, and some ... well ...

So what's the etiquette on waving when the person you're waving to might not be having anywhere near as much fun as you are?

I'm a vw nut and had afew over the years as others have On the forum .I still wave at most things vw and love it when I get a wave or a cheeky flash back ;-)

You could look out for the awning .... But it might be a section of guttering that doesn't fit inside.
