Tow box v3. Any members using one ?

I’ve looked at towbar mounted boxes /storage too in preparation for our vehicle arriving. I was hoping to hold a Cobb bbq, Thetford toilet, wedges etc in it. I was looking for something low enough not to obstruct the reversing camera and that could be tipped so that the rear door opens with a reasonable degree of security and of course waterproof.
I still havnt pounced but have short listed the westfalia bc60/70 and storage box or a Zarges aluminium box and adapted with ‘U’ bolts to secure it to the bike rack. Let us know what you decide.

About £900 it rolls to van like a suitcase before rocking onto the tow bar.

We have the westfalia BC60 box/ bike rack. It is a good combination & doesn't add much length to van, about a foot less than an unfolded vw bike rack, you can use a tailgate bike rack over the top of it if needed.
The bike rack itself folds up quite small as the wheel holder fold into the centre piece & the light bars fold back so it ends up taking up about a third of the space of the unfolded rack.

When on site we used to take the box off the rack & put it in the awning - just undo the lock & pull the release handle - it then makes a half decent bench to sit on.

Plenty of space in it for wet awnings/ groundsheets, muddy boots, wet suits & spare gas cylinders. Not wide enough to fit skis.

Anyone bought one of these yet? Can you open the tailgate fully (or at least enough to use an air safe)

These look pretty good , albeit not cheap!!!

Can you definitely fit them on the van with a Vw bike rack already fitted and loaded ?
