Hi,

It seems that getting tracking adjusted in a California with Adaptive Cruise control is difficult and expensive. I've just been quoted & £130-£190 + vat by a local vw van centre!!

I had expected just to take it to the local tyre place to get sorted at the same time as the new tyres but it seems that they can't do it due to the Adaptive Cruise control.

Any suggestions of non vw places in Bath /Bristol area that could do it, as vw is both extortionate and fully booked until after we drive to Scotland.

Thanks

As long as the ACC radar sensor has not been knocked it will be fine to just get the tracking reset with a hunter or similar 4 wheel laser alignment. You can do the tracking without adjusting the acc but you can't adjust the acc without doing the tracking first.

If the tracking is is out, you are only putting back to where it was when it was last setup with the acc.

I've had mine done and there were no issues.

try a local Hunter specialist like http://bristolwheelalignment.co.uk/
