Does anyone know what this switch/connection housing is for? It’s located at the rear of the drivers seat. It’s a California Ocean 2022.

Torch / nightlight on front seat base

I've recently bought an Ocean and paid a little extra for what I thought was a torch / night light under the driver's seat. It lights up when in place and I flick the switch, but it does nothing when I take it out of the mounting and try and press what looks like a button. Am I missing something...

edit : this looks similar (can be checked with the supplier to ensure it will fit) looks like it’s a Skoda part (VW group) used on various vehicles
