Head and Heart need to be in agreement, but it sounds like it’s close already!
Good news on parking sensors, my eyes and a phone clearly didn’t work well!!

There is a handover guide in the vip forum, but to be honest, I just tested everything I could think of when I went to pick it up, from driving, going to bed, cooking and packing up again!
Here’s a piccie if my heater remote, not sure it matters what it looks like as long as it turns on/off.

So according to the VW manual in post #18, that’s an auxiliary coolant heater remote, not a parking heater remote. You can preheat the motor and cabin through the dash vents, but it’s limited to 30 minutes because of high battery usage. If you have a heater outlet at the base of the B pillar, then you also have a parking heater, which is programable at the control panel.
