Yes. I tried 1. Collected lots of muck behind it that was difficult to remove. Retained water with the muck there, and as it was translucent to a degree you could see it.Interesting thread, thanks gents
I've just had the bonnet redone on my Cali, so am keen to keep it in good condition. I like the 1/2 cup bra option, but was also looking at these:

Mine was held on with tape.. Now in the bin and long gone.
Might be OK on a Black bonnet.
Tried a 1/2 bra bonnet cover. Similar problems collecting water a road grime.
Now " au naturelle " but highly polished. Seems to be holding up well after 60k miles.
