Chertsey Camping and Caravan site the night before the Pro/Am golf at Wentworth on Wednesday.
My son was over the moon with his signatures of the golfers and celebrities on his cap including Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald, Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood, Tom Holland, Andy Murray, Gareth Bale and Anton du Beke.

I realy like those sunscreens with the eyes.
Shame they are only sold and made in the uk.

Skerries red island, north of Dublin. One of my favourite to go to when I need a night to get away to reset.

There’s a 2m barrier on the car park so you’re always on your own with all the other vans and motorhome forced to park alongside the road with no view.

Spectacular 360 degrees view. Right on the beach. Super quiet. There’s always one or two cars with teenagers doing whatever teenagers do in cars at night these days (scrolling through Instagram or TikTok it seems) but they always just let you be.

Beautiful - my Wife's home town, we're back regularly and I know it well. I can't get my Knaus under that barrier but spent a night or two on the Strand when I've been allowed a night off from the kids.

Another nice one up over the border is Greenore just next to the Coastguard Station where I've stayed a few times in the Cali previously, nipping under the height barrier there. ;)

Tuesday night in Skerries was truly spectacular with the giant moon and eerily still water.

We actually randomly stopped in that place you’re mentioning in Greenore a little while back on the way to the in-laws in the north. It was wonderful too:

You take a better photo than me but this was waking up Christmas Eve 2023 after getting off a late ferry from Cairnryan to Belfast and stopping at Greenmore en route to Skerries. The rest of the family had flown over and I was playing Postman with all the family's Christmas presents. Still, made for a nice solo trip there and back.

I like your two-tone BTW ;)

My wife mentioned it was beautiful with the moon and clear skies in Skerries earlier this week. Unfortunately I'm stuck at home.

I’m 4 weeks from my last trip away and looking at these incredible pictures is giving me very itchy feet.

Śniardwy Lake in Poland, Camp Nowe Guty 60. Replacement of Swiss lakes trip, due to poor weather forecast there.
I enjoyed some kayaking and will do a bit of cycling when it gets cloudy. So far, weather is good. Beautiful sunsets every day.

After 6 days in Nowe Guty by Śniardwy Lake in Poland, I moved to nearby Giżycko. Staying at Camping Zamek. Now it's s campervan and caravan site only, but it used to accept tents and I stayed here in 1997. Sadly, toilets are the same, probably from 80s. Of course all in working order.
At the moment, there's railway replacement work going on at the back of the campsite, but it should be done by next season.
It feels like staying on the boat, because of the sound of waves coming from the lake into the canal.

A few from France on our recent trip.

Parked up in the aire at Monpazier an eerie light shone. Only next morning I discovered the graveyard behind…

Limuel. Scouring the site for a decent riverside pitch, someone was packing up so we waited a few minutes and we nabbed theirs. The view from the beach at our pitch

Nantiat, near Limoge. Not bad for €14 a night - lovely hot showers and free Wi-Fi too! (And Ehu included but we didn’t need it fot 1 night).

Another site at Monthou-sur-Cher. Watched them drive the car into the motorhome’s garage the following morning. Car is a tiny 500 Abarth seriously noisy little thing!

Some amazing stopovers there... that's our plan for France now we have the Cali rather than siting ourselves on a holiday park for two weeks. Can't wait. Do you just drive and find or plan your stops before you leave?

We booked our first night stopover in Rennes and then 4 nights at Sunelia Interlude on Ile de Re as it was busy - we actually extended that by 2 days while we were there. From then on we just either booked a day or so ahead by email/phone or just turned up at a site or aire. Ile de Re and Dordogne were busy but not packed - elsewhere was pretty empty! Beware though, a lot of sites close end of Sept.

Rennes, Ile de Re, know them well - visited them whilst holidaying - but seems the Cali gets you place you wouldn't normally go in a car.
I think the (majority of) Aire's in France are great - we've always said how great it would be to use them if we had a Camper - and now we do, we will be.
Can't wait to start that tour next year,
