View from/of your van.

Low Wray (National Trust) near Ambleside. (£17.00 per night) basic facilities but there was a nice shop with basic provisions and you also could hire rowing boats for the lake near by.
Love that camp site although it's more commercialised now than the first time we stayed there (1976'ish)

NT have some great sites, I like the one at Coniston too (there are two, the one nearest the village)

Also visited Aira Force waterfall near Ullswater. (Via Kirkstone pass) Again NT - easy walk up to the first waterfall. You can walk further up to other falls...

Kirkstone pass... serene weather conditions!

Finally nice walk partly around Buttermere.
Had a look at another nice waterfall. Drove back via the Honister pass. Amazing road / view. Much easier in the Cali than the last time I went along that road on my mountain bike when doing the coast to coast.

So very enjoyable week made extra special by having our Cali Ocean. Kids enjoyed the experience being "wild" in the woods and going off looking for different mushrooms, leaves and other things around the woods. All this right on our "cali-doorstep"

Great Pics. Yep, definitely need that "Jealous as Hell" button! I was in and around Ullswater last year. The Lake District - one of my most favourite places on earth. Thanks for sharing.

Just got back from a very enjoyable few days at Chertsey C&CC site with Mr & Mrs Borris. The candelarbra came into it's own in the surroundings.
The river is about 50 feet in front of the Cali.
Very helpful notice board from 1926 saying that those arriving by flying machines can land in a nearby field.

Easy train ride to Kew Gardens which was lovely, if you can ignore the planes every 60 seconds.

RHS Wisley is also very close by, but harder to reach by public transport.

Brooklands Motor Museum is also very close. Apparently the fuselage of Concorde is so narrow it could be passed through the engine bay of an Airbus 380.

Hi. I have ordered oryx white too with black awning. But after seeing your Cali with silver one... makes me think. Looks like almost the same color as car. Was it repainted or is this original silver awning from factory? I wonder how it looks like in real. Could you post some more pictures showing awning and car paint from different angles and a bit closer?

Shady Oak pub with campsite next to canal at Tiverton near Nantwich. Only us on site.

Yes good spot to camp. I parked approx 4 spaces further up that field as you could see both castles from the window when I woke up. Was there a few weeks ago. Pub had reasonable food too and you are only a few metres from the canal and the sandstone trail.

Facilities bit basic though. (One shower / basic toilet block) However £15.00 per night is good as it's all in price no matter how many are in the van!

The Shady Oak pub; you're on my patch now. Thats one of my regular cycle routes past that pub and up around Beeston castle before looping back to Nantwich.

Cool. I will look out for you on my travels. Do you ride up to the Pheasant pub? Problem with Cheshire is there are no hills to practice on!

The Pheasant is a regular Wednesday beer stop in the summer with Nantwich Cycling Group, with that long drag of a hill up to the pub with a view! At this time of year I am more likely to be found running along the Sandstone trail, or around Bickerton... will look out for your lovely white Cali.

Nice pic. Be a bit chilly tonight I would think. On with the topper?

Don't have a topper and probs will not buy one either. We were on hook up so had a little fan heater. After the first night woke to ice in the sleeping area. Still warm and cosy, second night combated the cold by leaving the heater on overnight on low.
