Bartonfest at the Cottage of Content in Barton, Warks. Other half on stage with her band while the kids ran riot round the field

Not the most picturesque camping spot, squeezed in between parked cars, tents and a motor home as we were late arriving, but the Cali was ideal and we found an unused hook up point First time just using the roll out awning instead of the driveaway and I think I spotted another Cali on the far side of the field.

Chaon, in the Loire region of France. En route to Spain.

We are travelling in Italy at the moment. Now we are ”stuck” in Moneglia, just outside the Cinque Terre. It’s so good we stayed for a week at the same camping which we never did before. It has all the beauty of Cinque Terre but not the hassle of all the tourists.

Hi Kave,

Can I ask what site that is please? We’re heading to that area at the end of August and looking for a site - been offered a spot at Camping la secca, is it that site or another one? If so then it looks much better in your photo than on the website! Would you recommend it?

Thanks,

Jez

Wow, amazing sunset, bet it looks even better with the naked eye.
Very true. The scale, the grandness and vividness of the landscape here simply can not be captured by my photographs. It is a truly stunning place.

Here is our wild campsite for tonight. Korsnes near Narvik, Norway. Nobody sharing the whole beach with us, this maybe because the temperature is cooling now. Has been as high as 30.5 today!

It La secca yes. A bit rustic and lots of ants so buy some ant poison day 1. It has just a stair down to a stone beach and a 10min walk to Moneglia center with its sandy beach. Highly recommended.

P7060278.JPG View from our campsite at the Porsche curves last month... Cali did sterling duty keeping the beers cold.

Just rounded a corner on a dirt track trying to find a wild camp site just north of Arctic Circle on west coast of Norway, Agsketet to be precise, and into view comes this young fella! Stunning!!

Wild Cali'ing in Glen Etive on Saturday evening, started off beautifully with a nice breeze keeping most of the midges at bay, after a long day and a glass of wine we had an early night, eyes closing around 9.30 'upstairs', only to be woken by gale force winds and driving rain buffeting the canvass just past midnight.....

After a few minutes deliberation we decided it best to remove the topper and drop the roof, in the pitch black, getting absolutely drenched in the process haha. But we planned everything with military precision and were back in the downstairs bed 15 mins later, and a whole lot happier the roof was down and safe but I had to hang on to and pull inward the nearside side of the canvass as it came down to stop it getting entwined in the mechanism :)

Still worth it to wake up to the stunning views down the river and glen the next morning and breakfast in Gilbert a mile or so along the road over looking Glen Coe. Its what we hoped Cali Life would be and we are loving it.

I think I've slept in that same lay-by :D

Fantastic views, and yes, what a Cali is all about, waking up, the place is your own and the views fantastic. Lovely.
