Not a great view but a nice site (Corfe Castle Dorset Camping) a mile off-road walk to Corfe Castle & village

how it should be done :

cream + Jam + View

edit : the view is from the Fern pit Cafe - outstanding views of the Gannell & Crantock, foods not too shabby either (I can recommend the Bacon Bap) & ferry operates from below the cafe when the tide is in so you can reach Crantock beach

I know the Fern Pit well. I have a holiday let that's walking distance from there. The boat across the Gannel is a nice little touch if you fancy getting over to the Bogey Inn.

Amazing, hopefully your dog is in better health, so far only walked up to the Cock Pitt stone stone circle and back down to a pub. I’m not in your league. Here for 3 weeks moving on to Coniston then. To Derwent Water.

Its heaving here. You wouldn’t like it here.

Drove into Keswick the other day didn’t stop as it was that busy!
I was surprised that glenridding was quiet yesterday as popped into gillside farm for a service stop, lots of tents and few vans think everyone was asleep maybe as it was only 9am.

Enjoy your trip, I’ll keep an eye out for you :thumb

I was also in Glenridding yesterday around 11:30 wow. Ill look out for you.

Just back from our 3,5 weeks summer roundtrip through Sweden, Norway, Denmark.
Drove up to Kiel (Germany) and took the ferry to Gothenburg (Sweden). Then up to Norway (main focus of the trip) and made a counter-clockwise loop from Oslo via South Central Norway to Alesund and back via West and South coast to Kristiansand for ferry to Denmark for our last 2 nights on the Danish West coast to break our trip before we drove home (NL).

Learnings:
- we loved our bagage trailer to store our stuff (awening, shoes, jackets, stove, tools and lots of other stuff). No need to keep them moving around on campsites.
- in travel mode, no need to take awening with you
- we enjoyed a cabin once, when we had a 2+ day of bad rain forecast
- wife took to many shoes with her
- used my own shoes twice, majority walked bare feated and used my Crocs
- happy we took our CEE to 230V euro adapter with us (used many times)
- happy we took a 20L water can (kitchen tap broke (again), micro switch issue)
- our DIY poptop cover resulting in kids sleeping longer since more dark upstairs
