VW California Beach Review

That engine sounds like it needs a 6th Gear

The Buemotion could certainly do with one - only because 5th comes in around 35 and there is a bit work required around town. The gearing is quite long as well, which doesn't help. But, it's okay, it doesn't put me off owning or recommending one.

I wouldn't say the van is sluggish - it's not a car, so initial responses happen more slowly, but there are times when it feels very quick, this helped by the fact it's very responsive and has great steering.

nice little video clip you found there martin ... :thumb ...shame he put the awning out incorrectly,as he puts it right out without taking the weight of it with the legs down and looks like it's going to bend and hit the ground ... :doh

Another review here - this is becoming a great thread :)

Err bit of a confused review that one.
Picture is of a full fat pre facelift cali and bangs on about all the equipment like the fridge and sink.
I'm guessing the reviewer did the review without even setting eyes on a beach.
Is the beach based on the caravelle ?

Most reviews seemed to be a cull of various other bits. I used it for the Tax and CO2 info. Most of the text seemed relevant but it was the CO2 stuff that was interesting.

Depending on what Beach you have then parts of it are Caravelle but it is probably closer to the European One Slider (one sliding door) Multivans

Caravelles as they are - are UK only. In european markets they are equivalent to the Shuttle.
