VW California garages in the UK

Does anyone have a list of VW garages that will service the "Camper" items on our van as well as the VW transporter items? I am thinking of electric roof, fridge, heater, stove, water system etc.

We have a 2007 California that has been in storage for almost 3 years now due to COVID and we are pulling it out in April. Before we head over to Europe we will make sure everything is 100% and am somewhat concerned re having been parked for so long. The storage place is great, with the owner having driven our VW regularly etc.

Any help or ideas would be really appreciated! Our VW is in storage in Shropshire.

Thanks,

Ian

Theres not really anything to service. Just go through it yourself and make sure everything works ok.

Have you been charging the batteries regularly?

Batteries are on smart chargers, so should be OK. My question really is, "Which VW commercial service centres in England service the California, including camper items?". Is it just a question of searching online and / or calling VW service centres?

Thanks,

Ian

You could ask one of the motorhome specialists to do a full Habitation Service. This usually includes checking gas, water, etc and leaks. Alternatively ask one of the good converters, eg Autohaus - they will do a full check for you but not close to Shropshire. If nothing else I suggest you get your gas system checked if it has been untouched for 3 years.

Any VW Commercial Centre will service the vehicle.
As far as the camping equipment is concerned there is NO VW servicing schedule for these items. They either work or don't work.
The only item mentioned in the Handbook is changing the red rubber gas hose that connects the gas regulator to the vehicle pipe connector, every 5 years.
