I…..Want…..One!

It feels like a coming of age.

Looks very nice, but as the saying goes “If you have to ask the price, you can’t afford it”, I’m afraid to ask the price
I suspect I know the answer to that one:rolleyes:

More like a car. Very low roof. In the upper bunk a person walking by will be able to look in. Loss of needed cupboard space. Definitely prefer the 6.1

It looks too low inside, there are some great ideas but it needs to beat least as big as the current T6.1Cali. I would hate to be stuck in the rain in side with a family for any period of time due to its size.

We were queuing behind a Multivan at the Eurotunnel last week. The main thing that struck me was how low the roofline was at the rear!

He’s practically bend double underneath that tailgate ffs!

I know! Unless he is 6'8 then it's too small, regardless on how stunning it looks inside (And it does to be fair)

I think he says he’s 6’2” later on. He explains how the lower rear end is better for aero/fuel efficiency. All true but who cares, give me space.
Never been a fan of LWB vans.
It looks fab but fussy/fragile to me.
I can see owners being smug but the sensible people will stick to 6.

It’s lower and narrower, but longer. Presumably this means the beds are also narrower? The added length will mean that the boot space is similar, but for campervan living you really need width and height. I do like the concept of an inside/ outside kitchen, but wind about cupboard storage for the production model. The drawer inserts on the concept, that hold two coffee mugs etc would be a waste of space.

Agree at 6ft 5in I was thinking why is that awning so low.

Sorry VW not for me...style over substance

When looking at the new “show stopper” the outside shower. This is so low you can’t even open the boot high enough to stand normaly under. If hou want to use one has to sit on a chair I believe.

I'm just wondering whether this is VW's way of throwing everyone off scent and the actual next Gen California will be quite different and take everyone by surprise?

I would like to believe you are right.
But I do not think so.
It looks like vw is no longer interested in making a new version of their cali. At least not on the transporter platform.
I just do not get why change a wining team.
They set off with their new cali family. Also looks like make more money on just a brand name.

I’m confused! My own fault as I’ve not really been paying attention.
So VW have two new platforms, Multivan and , some other type of van? One of them is going to be used for the Conceptfornia, or not?

Where do Ford come into this? I understood the T7 was going to be a rebadged Transit?

WTF?

Nope you got part right.
The multivan is the base van for the concept California.
But it is far from a transporter or new T7.
The Ford Nugget/westfalia is build from a new/facelift transit custom.
This is the closest which can be compared to the new T7.

So what are VeeDub going to sell for the builders van, Multivan?

For the moment the platform is still the multi van. At least this is what they want us to believe. All of us are waiting for the next one to come out of the closet. :)

The multi van does not look like a wil be a suc6 to me. But I will probably be wrong.

This is why I look forward to the westfalia design and I am wondering what the answer will be from VW

All sounds a bit Fcuk’d up to me?

Maybe. We all have to be patient I am afraid.
Vw still won’t let down their cards for us to see.
