VW trying to claim warranty isn’t a warranty after all

Am I right in thinking that this just boils down to : you have spent considerable effort & involved the Financial ombudsman because you've made a mistake & bought a 24 service plan that comes with a warranty that overlapped with your existing warranty by a month & The dealer won't won't give you a refund?

Even if the warranty was as much as 50% of the cost, you've lost £20, is it really worth the effort?
I didn’t involve the Financial Ombudsman? Don’t know how you got that idea. I just asked VW Finance the question, was it right that I paid for a 24 month warranty but only got 23 months, and they referred it to VW’s own complaints department who fobbed me off. I gave up after that, as you say it wasn’t worth the effort of pursuing it further.
