Warranty refusal on camping chairs

Hi All, anyone had experience of this corrosion please? My Cali is a 2022, V2 have refuse my request to replace these as they say the chair has been in the rain. Which it has whilst camping with surprise showers. Seems to be it’s a camping chair and likely to get wet…..or am I being obtuse?

I think you are in the right. My chairs spend lots of time outside and haven't corroded.

Looks like salt......I had this issue on my 1x wing rigger when sculling down here on the coast.

Hi the issues is not that the chairs have got wet or been in the rain, its because they have been put away wet and left there and the moisture has got to wok..

Has condensation formed on them for a while?

The only way I would say they would be covered by warranty if your van had a leak of water into the van from the high level break light which is a issue some owners have had. I can understand why your dealer is say they are not covered as it does look like they have been stowed wet in the same way a tent gets moldy if put away damp which would not be covered.

The damp could be from condensation on the bag, it is material when the tail gate is closed there is no air circulation to dry it out .We have had spots of mould on the black material in the past.
