Hello. We are struggling to work out why our water tap isn’t working! We are trying to clean the micro switch on the tap - as many threads on the Forum have advised - but we are stuck. We got this far (see photo) but can’t work out what to do next. Any help appreciated

That's it. Now just clean those contacts with some fine emery paper. Also make sure it makes a nice click when operated. You can also short out those contacts to prove your pump is working OK. If you have the shower connection try that. If that works then it's definitely your tap

Hello… Right! To short out.. we use a paper clip or similar to link the contact points?

Alas, no joy.. but thx for your help. The micro switch seems clean and connecting but no joy..
Must be the pump ☹️

Bit late for you but I gave up with the microswitch, it's clearly always going to be problematic. I installed a non latching push button on the side of the cabinet, cost £3 and is dramatically better than the flimsy tap option.
