What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

Where is it in stock?? Looks a good bit of kit. Which gas canisters does it use?
It’s in stock on the Primus website Primus.eu Only took a few days to arrive. It uses the screw in type something like Coleman C500. However, you can get an adaptor kit from Primus for it to fit a shed load of different types of bottles.

From the village we were staying in, to one of our favourite restaurants was 36km and a 45 minute drive, in manual mode 2nd & 3rd gear for almost all of it, not a single straight bit of road for miles, all zig-zagging up and down the hills. Made your typical Highland single track road with passing places feel like a motorway.View attachment 84101
Sounds fun Andy, we were out west yesterday supporting a charity triathlon which took us to the back roads of Strontian thought the old mines to the run start at the dead end. Some good 2nd gear single track action, one other T6 camper was reported to ask if there was another way out !
Another T6 camper was reported

After first full season with Cali gone for the mavel mats and replace door locks with nice branded ones, next contemplating a full re upholstering of front and back seats ,so much choice and designs, do I want to spend £1500+ and can I convince the chancellor of the purse strings to let out a few lockdown moths?

Expensive day today but all worth while! Paid for the 2 year warranty extension and agreed a price with a local company for supply & fitting of -30mm VW lowing springs, angular side bars and front splitter. I am hoping that along with the fitment of the 18" wheels it will satisfy me for while.
I’d love to see this. I’ve asked vw about 30mm lowering and front splitter and side bars for my 6.1.
mare they genuine vw parts?

Primus Tupike stove - finally back in stock:)

Could be just what we’re looking for. Can you confirm it fits on it’s side in the boot? We slot our cooker on its side next to two big boxes. It says it’s 29.5 cm and I think the boot height is 33cm.
It looks lovely.

I’ve got a 3 seat beach with a high multi flex so may be different to yours.

Hi - we have the three seat Beach - currently we store a Bistro cassette stove in one of the three storage areas under the large seat - with the vw tray removed. If the Primus fits in the same place i would order one - would you mind checking - thanks

It will fit but you’d need to remove the rear door to shut the front one as it’s a touch too long…

I have mixed feelings about my latest purchase. It's so encredibly decadent, and completely unnecessary. And not in line with what I want from my Cali; peace and quiet, nature, being 'unplugged'. And I get torn between not wanting it in my Cali.... and wanting to hole up in my Cali and spend a few days binge watching. :) Perhaps I will just keep it in the house and use it there.

Anyways, it's a great little gadget. I get 5 hours out of it, as opposed to the 4 that they advertise with.
Projection on the Cali's window blind is brilliant and at 145 pounds (second hand, but as new) it's well worth it.

We were with some friends who projected onto a sheet covering their T5 sliding door. There were 8 kids outside watching Luca. It was pretty awesome.
Nebula? Any pics of results?

Yeah it's a Nebulla Apollo. Not top of their range, but really all you need if you ask me. And much more affordable then its more expensive big brother(s) It's small, not heavy at all, lasts long, wifi, bluetooth, decent speaker, you can connect another bluetooth speaker. Only thing that's important to know is that it needs a dark place to work well. It wont work well in daylight. So you want to use it at night or in a room (van) that is made dark. Which is the case for a lot of beamers and is no problem for me, as I (like most people) tend to use it in a room that's made dark or at night.

This is what it looked like when I tested it on the slidingdoor blind yesterday:

Something that California owners usually do not buy ! - a 23 L FIAMMA Waste Tank

1631713122456.png

We have the Porta Potti, which has a capacity of 11 L and we can survive 2-3 days off grid, before the PP fills up. The FIAMMA waste tank will enable us to empty the PP into the tank and extend off-grid usage of the PP to a max of 6-8 days or so off-grid, before we need to find a chemical disposal point.

On our way to Finland & North Norway soon, and will be off-grid quite a bit.

This fits into the rear boot very comfortably and is air tight - so no smells etc.

EDIT - for those wanting to buy something like this - I realised that there is a difference between waste water and waste. For storing waste water from the van, you can use this, but for storing waste including chemicals, this may not be the best option. Waste needs a pressurised container with a pressure release valve with plastics that can handle the chemicals.

I finally went with a Thetford C200 waste tank. Compact enough to fit in the boot of the Cali Ocean along with all the other usual stuff.

New Wine Glasses.:Summit Pop space saving.

One of the old ones finally succumbed after many many years of use, (that fact I put my foot on it Hastened it departure)

we store these for travelling, in suitable size Mugs which makes further use of a potential wasted space. (hanging strap discarded)

Thanks, I will take a look. I have similar ones from Lakeland which now have a few cracks, they did not like been dropped. They fit nicely in the side wall cup holders.

Have you tried tipping the contents of the potti into it yet? I can imagine the mess I would make !

Yup, no mess at all. There is a tactic to it. Drop the spout from the PP into the tank with the spout vertically at the top. Then turn the PP to empty the contents. Was easy.

Does it have a pressure release button on it like loo tank, as you may get splattered when emptying it.

Unfortunately no, so yes, will be careful. Not travelled with it yet. Will report back - if I live to tell the tale :bananadance2
My joker has one of them, not sure how that compares on price but is the right tool for the job.
Hope it works.49ACAA48-1542-48C6-9B79-EE8DCC5B3A88.png
