What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

Got a neat MagSafe iPhone holder from the online emporium.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XYQDGHP/?tag=vwcalifornia-21

It's decent quality, and ideal for MagSafe charging iPhones and the magnet seems powerful enough. It will also work with other phones using a stick on magnetic ring which is supplied. I like it because I now have a safe place to hold the phone whilst wire connected via the usb-c slots to CarPlay and get best quality sound out of the audio set up. Previously I couldn't find a sensible place to keep the phone. Stuck to the dash in a convenient spot with 3M tape (also supplied).

MagSafe- ah clever may have to upgrade mine.

Question? I have a Ocean 6.1 this years reg and a solar panel fitted and as I live in a terraced house I park on a street away from my house. Reading the posts about you should hook up to the mains to keep the batteries in peak condition has got me concerned as I have no way of doing this and my pride and joy is sitting idle this Winter...any suggestions?
Can you take the van to a friends drive to charge up over night (it’s just recommended one a month) or alternatively go to a campsite with hook up?

does your solar charge leisure and starter or just the leisure Batteries?
if the latter, you could upgrade the system to do all.
otherwise just take it for a drive every 3 weeks.
wouldn't this "upgrade" consist, to stay on a cheap and easy solution level, on a switched kitchen to dashboard cig-to-cig plug connection ?

I have done this, but with only 100w panel, and during winter there is still a net loss, but a 200w system should cope.

I have a 120W portable that I place inside behind the windshield. So very suboptimal position, but so far, it manages to go into "float" mode a couple of days a month.

Looks good Subthree, but how does it fit ?
ie is it contoured to press down into the gap or is it just laid along the gap? Thanks
Triangular in profile, just push it in. Takes all of 60 seconds. Great fit. £13.

Not bought this yet as there are no reviews has anyone here got one if so what do you think? Yes expensive but looks really neat watch the video takes them a lot of time to make.

It does indeed looks lovely, but you need to store it somewhere when you cook and sitting side saddle to chop your vegetables? Less is more for me.

We have one of these which fits on top of the cutlery drawer.
