What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

Bats life might be fascinating but at the moment there are ongoing rabies cases in Netherlands, Poland and Spain linked to bats. They are spreading rabies year after year in different parts of Europe. I rather stay away from them if I can.
I've got no intention of touching them (I'd need license for that), so fear not.
The can fly very very close, but of course they'll never collide with a seated human as their echo location is very effective.

I was curious about your comments so visited this site. It seems that they are no more dangerous today than they have been for some decades. As far as rabies is concerned, Dogs, Dogs are the main transmitter to humans.

A brand new spare wheel and locking bolt because someone stole the old one on a recent visit to Legoland. :headbang

Received a very comforting email from them to let me know they are aware of the problem!

VW wanted £300, a big thank you to Benn who sorted me out with a new spare at 1/2 that cost. :thumb
Oh no!! Hope you get it sorted, will your insurer pay out for the theft? Can we buy a lock to prevent this happening? I live in Jersey so not much chance of that happening ATM but plan to spend a lot of time in the UK so need to prep!!

A lock is available in the club shop.

Bunk ladder, vehicle cover, wheel clamp and steering lock. That's it for now, until we actually take delivery of the vehicle and take a trip in it. This new "hobby" could get expensive :-D

Fed up raiding the kitchen indoors when heading out on adventures in the Big Blue Bus, so I’ve purchased ;

- Set of non slip, white, melamine dinner sized plates, small plates and bowls
- Pair of camping saucepans with folding handles. Only 1 lid, but it fits both pans
- Ridgemonkey cutlery set

All washed and stored away in the van, ready for use.

I dropped the Big Blue Bus off at Eurovans Eastbourne this morning for its oil change and none of the recent additions to the cupboard rattled either!

For aspiring Cadac owners there's some voucher stacking discounts to be had with some models at the moment.

BBQ World (I'd never heard of them before today) have a sale on. I'd had my eye on the "2 cook 3 pro" as an upgrade to the trusty Campingaz Chef for a while. They have the Cadac at £90, with a 10% discount code bringing it down to £81.
Go Outdoors does price match +10%, making for a very affordable £72 at the till:

I have bought from Dawkins BBQ world before- part of a big store. The cadac is really good and I see this newer version has handles for the plates and a deflector for smaller pans and mokka pot.

I couldn't quite work the differences between the two burner options to be honest. The '2 cook 3' seems to be a (tiny) bit smaller and has built in windshields compared to the '2 cook 2', though both are current models. I think this one has the quick release connection but haven't opened the box to check. The smaller one seemed like the best option given the limited storage space in the Cali.

I thought it was just updated. I have the 2 cook 2 and changed the connection to the 90 deg swivel qr version after the original broke. Good stoves which we use a lot when cooking outdoors. We have an extra Campingaz bottle which we use with it.
