Hi,

Has anyone had an issue when winding in/out the awning? Mine makes a clicking sound and nothing happens most of the time, seems like a gear may be worn? Any ideas appreciated! Cheers.

Sounds like the plastic gearbox is worn

Thanks for the reply guys, I'll check out the website.

Be careful fitting new gearbox. I seem to remember the awning is under tension & wants to unravel when you remove old one.

That's why I am a little nervous if its a DIY job. More investigation required first.

I replaced my gearing on the awning quick and easy job.

Mine is the Thule Omnistor 5102.
The awning must be opened fully so that there´s no tension on the
spindle.
Remove the plastic cap, you will need a stubby pozi drive.
The screws are on the inside of the cap.

Once the cap is removed you will see the 3 pozi screws that hold the gearing
in place, it´s just a straight swap.
