With the order book about to open, was wondering how many people are thinking of ordering a new Cali this year
No room under the rear shelf, the table and chairs are in therethe Marco Polo appears a more appealing upgrade than the T6 Ocean
Yes, and it seems to make you a cup of tea in bed, if you've seen that video? But the rear opening window looks fantastic
I can't see the need to change, other than our cali is now 4 years old. Dare I say (although I won't go down that road, honest!) the Marco Polo appears a more appealing upgrade than the T6 Ocean - I need to wash my mouth out!
It's definitely coming to the UK in 2016, according to the below UK document:The problem is that no Mercedes Benz dealers have any clue about the Marco Polo, what it is or when it is coming out.
One dealer I phoned even said that VW made it!

Looks pretty but not liking the curtains in the Activity (Beach equivalent). Be intrigued to see it next year but will probably still be ordering a T6 Beach later this year. More of a known entity!
From the link above for the Mercedes Marco Polo 'Activity', it appears to have Dual Sliding doors. Something that doesn't seem possible or available on the UK Cali Beach. I'd prefer a Beach with Twin sliders and maybe a central rail table. Just seems easier in so many ways for our family. Others will differ of course, esp if you plan to fit kitchen pods etc. But my wish list for the T6 Cali Beach includes 4Motion, mechanical diff lock,Dual sliding doors and a few other bits and bobs. The final Euro cost after playing on the German Configurator comes to about Euro 62,000.00. Scary stuff. So I, along with everyone else waits for the Standard Specs and Options to appear. As I'm in NZ I may have to wait a bit longer for VWNZ to get it together. I've stopped holding my breath.
Sure is. I've had this confirmed by two dealers, both quoting a 2015 delivery date. Here's one of the mails I received this week:Hi Rhyddin, is that confirmed about orders being taken Monday? I've been waiting to order so a trip to the dealer will be happening..
I would love to but my wife is not convinced just yetThanks, great info, are you planning to order on Monday, we'll be going for a Beach 150 DSG
Let us all know how you get on!Hi all,
I'm hoping to order on Monday too.
Do you think they'll be any discounts available?
Would dealers compete for my custom?
There are 2/3 dealers within about 45 mins of me.
Need to try and get a couple of extras and stay at the base price for a beach.
D
Exactly my plan! Will do. I was thinking this is the worst time to negotiate too!
I suppose what I might do is look at the options and spec up a Beach that I would like and then tell them the price I will pay. They can then refuse and I'll say to them that they can ring me when they want to sell at that price. Maybe I might get a phone call towards the end of the month (I can dream eh?).
We're quite close, perhaps we should go to a dealer together for a bulk order!Exactly my plan!
Good plan, but my wife is still far from convinced, sadly. I really wish I could. We're quite close, perhaps we should go to a dealer together for a bulk order!
Could they turn down two purchases???![]()

It might take a year to arriveMy A6 is only just two years old so I may have to see it through to 3 years (and even more shocking depreciation) before ordering its replacement![]()
