MY 18 kitchen photo - split glass

Before anyone asks me any questions...dont bother.... It's not my van, I found this pic on Instagram and thought I'd share it with you all.

I imagine you would still have to move the washing up bowl to avoid heat damage.
Like the kitchen cupboard lights, v. handy.
Is that a mini towel rail? Must be removable I guess.

Like John, I saw the new kitchen unit at the factory; the split glass is an improvement. The cupboard lights are a nice touch but of limited value- I know exactly what's in the right hand cupboard (cooking things and crockery) and I put the contents of the left cupboard (food) in boxes, so I can just lift the box out if I can't see what's in it. Having said that, I might retro fit led lights in the cupboards one day.

looks like a pocket of some sort under the larger mirror on the wardrobe door as well.

Saw this at a dealer last weekend. You get two of the rails and we found them in the drawer so yes removable or broken ;)

They seem to have added holes so the shelf in the cupboard under the sink can be raised to fit the Porta Potty in (I assume this is new). You also now get the mini drawer under the bench seat. The lights were ok but not a killer feature in my view. The new tray under the mirror is also removable.

When you say mini drawer do you mean you have the big drawer and the second smaller drawer which used to come with the storage net option?

No mine either. I did fit it myself. I take it you are not storing bolts in it? ;) In a bag
Lol, no!
Dealer replaced drawer which did not rattle at first, but now it does again. Which MY do you both have?

No, I have those on my MY17 delivered March this year.

MY 2013. I did fit it myself from parts. Is it the catch that rattles. I did place a bit of Velcro under the latch to stop rattles from both drawers.

These just clip in, supported in place by their own weight (and that of their contents) and can be placed anywhere along the rail that you choose.

the rail extends around the corner behind the front seat. I've put my second towel rail there. It seems too cluttered on the front....

I didn't even realise that. The beauty is that everything is movable and removable so you can suit yourself. I personally will only fit these on the odd occasion that I need them and almost certainly not all at the same time. What you see in the picture was set up for display purposes to show members waiting for a MY18 Cali what to expect. 95% of the time, none of those will be fitted on mine.

I have taken delivery of my Spanish model 150 DSG 4 motion Ocean and I got the following freebies.
2 x mozzie nets (VW original parts) for the sliding windows. (very good)
Luggage net for roof. (won't use)
2 towel rails.
1 cup holder. (won't use)
Cupboard lights. (very good)
The small drawer under the bench seat.
Climacool window tints. (essential over here, but still need additional heat reflectors)
Front rubber mats (I also kept the original carpet mats).

Standard spec's are also different to the UK model but I got the 'business pack' as a freebie which included the upgraded steering wheel with paddle shift and some other stuff that I haven't quite figured out yet.

The dealer has also arranged for a full set of English manuals.

New Oceans have a few bit's & bob's thrown in, but they don't really reflect the 3% (November 2016) and 3% (April 2017) increases.

2018 Beach models over here have benefited from a significant upgrade though. They get a revised and upgraded dashboard with 3 zone climatic aircon as standard. Plus a host of other stuff.

It's a shame that VW create their options and basic configurations to extract the maximum amount of money from the customer.

I love the new Ocean and I am sure we will get many years of use from it, but I would have been more than happy with a cheaper Coast model if I could have bought one over here.

Has anyone retrofitted the kitchin under light strip LED light

Have to say I've not seen any posts doing it.

Does you top not have a suitable lip you could position a small LED strip along?

Yes there is a thin lip that an LED can be mounted on, can someone with the LED fitted take some close up photos

Does anyone know how the light is wired in
