I have just bought a 2017 Cali, and I am wondering what the difference is in the standard spec against the new models?

Split work top? Anything else?

....i can't see anything on your profile but it may help to confirm if we are talking about a Ocean or Beach?

As you’re talking about the sink, I’ll assume Ocean.

> Split sink
> Ligths in the cupboard / wardrobe
> Downlighting around the cupboard units
> Shower as standard (I think)
> LED lights upstairs

Think that was it, but may have missed something

It has

"Interior light concept for Camper "Comfort Plus" incl. lighting in pop-up roof, tailgate, and cupboards"

So i take it that's most of that cover, also has shower connection.

Early 17 models didn’t have these bits. The later ones did. Mine does and it’s a later 2017 :)

3 LED lights in the roof and two on tailgate standard on Ocean from start.

Front zip opening on roof bellows

If you search California Chris on you tube he did a video on MY18 and what was different versus 2017.
According to the video and my own recent order the shower is not standard now or on my18 - you need to specify the shower to get the extra lights in the pop top roof as well. MY18 also got the lights and vision package as standard (includes auto lights function amongst other things) split work top, light strip on cupboard and a sensor in the front grill that detects a crash and brakes the van :)
