Anybody can please help with the details on brake pads for the T6 17' brakes?

Volkswagen dealer gave me a fair deal of around 1k euros for the set of disks and pads. Insanely greedy guys.
I was recommended ATE brand, that it is used originally by VW.
Any idea how to measure the remaining pads mm?

Thread resurrect. I just ordered some brembo pads for the rear. I've done 28k and the rears have done the usual trick of wearing out before the front. What's the consensus with not bothering swapping the discs at 2016 and 28k.? They look ok through the wheels.

My rear pads were done at 77,000 miles. Disks not replaced as there was no scoring. Front pads and disks replaced at same milage as there was some scoring on the back of the disks.

It all depends if the discs are badly worn. Do they have a lip on them? You will need to check the thickness with a micrometer. There will be a service thickness you shouldn’t go under.

Well in with this job and clearly my pad wear sensor has been running on the disc. But no warning on the dash? Or lights? Any one else had this? The discs are fine and I'm re using those

I agree. Ha. My pads were less tan 2mm though and no warning light. The hardest part of this job is getting the pistons to return as you have to screw them in while applying force. All done now. earnt myself a pint there. £40 all in. Next time I will order the wear sensor too. Of which there is only one on the drivers side

I just fitted the brembo pads. The discs will easily go again. They look fine to me. I've ran about with discs in far worse condition. They never came with a new wear sensor though. My old sensor didn't work and so I may need to swap that out in future if I can be arsed

Changed the rear pads + discs on mine today.

Surprising how thin the pads got before the warning came on.

My rear pads were almost down to the back plate. The sensor had been skimming the disc for a while. No warning on mine at all
