Brake pads/disc replacement

Hi all,
brake pads are about 70% worn so will need replacing come the new year. Now my question is how many of you have tried different pads/discs? I've used the likes of EBC and others on the motorbike and car, but don't know what a good set are for the Cali? Do you all stick to vag parts? What are peoples thoughts on Mintex pads?
Any advice welcome.

Fitted mintex pads and discs all round earlier this year and no problems with them
