New T6.1 order delays

Finally had some communication (from autoebid) today that our coast ordered sep 21 is built and on its way to a German port! Was beginning to think it would never happen, will now have to wait not so patiently for more info as it makes its way to the dealer … Ours was build week 11 March:)

Just heard today exactly the same! Been on build for almost 3 months….build complete! In the hands of the Gods now to make it’s way to our shores

Yeah ours has been waiting for a ship from Emden to Tyne (where the Liverpool van centre Vans come in) for a week and a half now, it seemed to miss the last Tyne bound boat by half a day :(

Seem to be constant boats emden to sheerness and emden to Grimsby just not Tyne :(
Woot, boat Emden to Tyne leaving in an hour!!

Good news!
What website are you using to track the ships leaving Emden?
If you are expecting a south delivery there is this boat on route...

Bit disappointed that it is likely my Van with parts made in Ukraine is being delivered on a boat called City of St Petersburg :/

Interested to know how you guys get to know what boat your van is maybe on?

I don’t know what boat it’s on. I only know that it was at the port yesterday morning (not sure when it got there) and that a boat left for Sheerness late last night. Doesn’t mean it’s on it though, just hoping!
The dealer would know as the code would change from 38 to 39

Good news coming from allot of people. Im looking forward to collecting mine. Having a vehicle on order for so long has been a struggle, I expect i will feel odd once it’s actually arrives, I will have nothing to keep checking in on and thinking about. I mite even feel less stressed haha

Could you take a photo please?

I just went to photograph it and woah! it's gone, on both sides. My mistake, I could have sworn it had them, and that I had to remove them when putting the seat covers on, but I got confused with the blanking plates at the side and back. I DONT have the front blanking plate after all, but it does look like there are slots for one to attach.

I just cycled past the factory and took a sneaky look around the periphery. I saw a couple of hundred Transporters, Cali's of various flavours, Bulli's and six tutti-frutti coloured Lambo Urus' SUV's (didn't know these 226k Euro beasts were made at the Hannover Nutzfahrzeuge) parked up and waiting for transportation. Wish I had my cell phone with me to take a few pics.

What’s the latest on your order? I ordered a similar spec Coast from MyCalifornia 13 months ago, so keen to hear how you’re getting on. Cheers

Just got a status update on our Ocean - build week 50! Ordered early October. Hopefully that moves forward.

Spoke to Dave M over at Eurovans (top chap) and great news - van has gone from a 20 to a 38 (at port).

He thinks that it will have departed within a week heading to Sheerness and by his numbers and process we should have by the end of the month - fingers crossed for a series of July and Aug trips.

He said that VW are pushing these through quick to be registered by end June (Q1 results and all that) so he is confident of the timeline. Let's see, but we hoped end June to mid July so our internal clock is still fine.

For info we are a July 21st 2021 fully loaded Ocean in white + green and the only options we don't have is sport packs, towbar and the 4M. So the 204, Palmerston alloys, shower, wood floors, upgraded satnav system, all the self driving toys same as our Tiguan and many other bits and bobs.

All the "extras" are bought and filling the garage, just musing on top mattress now that does not take a load of space and how best to store my road bike inside and keep it safe and un-nickable. Some sort of rail mounted and removable travel case is my current thinking - like this - https://www.probikekit.co.uk/cycling-accessories-nc/b-w-bike-box/11185499.html

Keep the faith...

Your van sounds like the twin of mine which went into build last week. Same colour, same options and same wheels. When did yours go into build?

I was supposed to take delivery at the end of May but there was a slight 'hiccup' shall we say, with the order (nothing to do with Campers.eu you'll be glad to hear) and still awaiting a resolution from VW.

I was told build week was 16th May - so all in it's taken 3 - 4 weeks from build week to port. Likely shortages on line and had to wait here and there. Then another 2 - 3 weeks for delivery, jives with most peoples experience of 6 - 8 weeks from build week to delivery all totted up.

My Build Week 19 should be with me end of next week, so based on that about 6 to 7 weeks.
