Can I find out remaining AdBlue range before warning comes on?

I know there are a lot of threads on AdBlue but I haven't managed to find the answer to this. We're about to make a long trip and so ideally I would like to top up the AdBlue before we go, to avoid having to do it while we're away if the warning comes on (and I'd rather not carry it with us, given that it's nasty stuff, seems simpler just to do a top up now).

I've seen threads where people can see the remaining mileage on their dash, but I've played around with the 'car' menu and can't find this.

The handbook says 'with some equipment levels, the remaining range and refill quantity can be checked on the instrument cluster display'. I can't find anywhere in the handbook which explains how to access this if I did have the appropriate equipment level.

Basically if I do a top-up now, I don't know how much to put in (I know you shouldn't over-fill).

You can see how many miles you can cover before it needs refilling in the vw app. In vehicle health report.

It’s in the digital dashboard menu. The same one where your MPG and remaining miles are. Scroll down and you will see adblue and the min and max to fill up. If you don't have the amber or red warning lights though it’s not an issue.

It's actually telling me I've got 9,500 miles remaining, which I wasn't expecting (I had a range of around 6000 miles in my head in total - we've done 4000, so I thought we might be getting close)!

You should get between 15 and 20k from a full tank. Driving style dependant. The 6.1 has a bigger tank than previous versions.

I'm at 12K miles and getting close to filling up. Now showing 1400 miles range and 20l of AdBlue required.

I do some London driving, but rest is motorway.

I wouldn't say AdBlue is 'nasty stuff'. It's just urea so non-toxic, and the major component in urine. I'd be more concerned about coming in contact with diesel.
