Hi, newbie question… California Ocean T6.1…We’ve just come back from a weekend away & would like to know thoughts on best practice… to remove gas bottle from vehicle or… can it remain in situ (gas turned off at the regulator)… hope to hear from sages for advice thank you… ps thank you for all the help and support so far :)

leave in - you can have a cup of tea if you go out in the van. ours stays in all year.
Do you continually switch on/off at the regulator or… once in situ just check bottle for amount of gas occasionally?

The handbook says you should turn off at the bottle before driving. I think that is for gas safety in case of a crash you want it turned off at the bottle.

Once we are on a site camping I have always left it turned on until the next time we drive.

Take it out or it will blow up. Never leave it on while driving, it will blow up. You should worry constantly over these things or it will blow up. You need a fire blanket, smoke alarm and a co2 detector aswell. Or it will blow up.relax. it's fine. It's a gas bottle not a bomb
