As you may have seen from some of my other posts I am in the process of replacing the sliding windows in my T5. Having decided what to do, VW have confirmed that the T6.1 sliding windows fit (they actually now list one of the T6.1 as the replacement for my Cali). So this raises the possibility of T6.1 sliding windows which have a slightly different sliding and catch rather than T5 / T5.1 / T6 windows. So, what are peoples experiences of these windows with the catch as in the photo below. Has VW managed to finally rectify issues with leaking etc!?

Thanks

In case if you have a choice better not to install the t6.1 sliding window. It's too difficult to operate and impossible if something appears in the rail (groove, or idk how to name it). And be sure sometimes it happens. The object inside is invisible and can't be easily taken out.

Thanks for the reply. Is the rail significantly different from the T5 version? I’ve seen both and it just looked like the rails were deeper on the T6.1 window? Is there something else I missed? The rubber seals were a different design, the opening part very slightly smaller and obviously the catch.
