Breaking down solids

That price definitely would make me more disposed to buy but I don't quite understand how they work - is it just a bag that you have to fit into something like the stool thing that Granny Jen recommended?View attachment 26522

I have a stainless steel bucket whose sides are less likely to buckle under me. Inside the foil pouch which is bigger than it looks is a much bigger bag containing some absorbent stuff and a plastic bag with a good helping of toilet paper and an alcohol wipe for the hands. There is a tucking in problem for gentleman but that is manageable. Afterwards everything can be tied off, packed into the foil pouch and sealed well until a suitable disposable is available. The foil pouch holds everything easily and seals well. Hope that helps.

Gran,

The bog in a bag is basically a tripod that opens up and has a seat with a hole in it.

The disposa-john is a bag with a sterilising and congealing agent in it that you push through the hole and wrap the open top end of the bag around the seat.

Do whatever is necessary into the bag, Tie it up, then put it into the zip-closure foil bag attached. A nice, neat, double-enclosed bag that you can then dispose of in any waste bin.

As a nice touch each dispose-john bag comes also with 22 sheets of loo paper and a sterilising hand wipe.

32p a bag if bought by the hundred. They are quite bulky to cart around but cheaper than an old BR station loo.
Do the disposa- John bags fit over the bog in a bag seat Jen?

Yes. The fiddly bit is getting the foil double wrap, the zip-lock bit that contains the used plastic collecting bag, past the tripod legs. Simple enough though and then the plastic collecting bag fits comfortably over the BIAB seat.

I've been using consistently now for about six months and had no problems a all.

Currently travelling through Italy and I have had some weird toilet encounters. This mornings toilet session was very interesting to say the least when I had two have Italians in both cubicles either side of met hat both knew each other and decided to have a conversation with me in the middle.

Then a public toilet on the banks of Como which had a hole the size of a two pence piece drilled out of the cubicle wall on each side. I was just picturing in my head that someone had to go into that toilet with a cordless drill.

We have had this in the public toilets in our local town, it was covered on the local news tonight.
